Clayton-Bradley Academy Breaks Ground on New Educational Facility

Maryville, Tenn., Sept 11, 2019 – Clayton-Bradley Academy, Tennessee’s first STEM school, broke ground on its final educational facility expansion. Local officials and community leaders joined in a groundbreaking celebration and ceremonial dig on September 11, 2019. The expansion will highlight a new 22,498 square foot facility, called the “Student Union Educational Building” built by Joseph Construction and designed by Johnson Architecture, Clayton’s valued partners, with new science labs, classrooms, educational technology, food services and other accommodations. The expansion also includes three new modular buildings constructed by Clayton, each housing two classrooms, and additional green space for students to enjoy the outdoors and encourage collaboration.

“At Clayton-Bradley Academy, our educational resources and collaborative campus are intentionally designed to create a student-centered, positive, and hands-on environment,” said Pat Bradley, Executive Director for the Clayton-Bradley Academy. “We are anticipating the Student Union Educational Building to be complete in the fall 2020 for our students and staff to enjoy these new facilities. As the school’s physical footprint expands, so does our ability to provide unique and rewarding learning experiences for even more future students.”

Clayton-Bradley Academy, which is located in Maryville, was founded in 2013 to create an environment for children to embrace education and spark a passion for learning. Since then, the student body has grown to over 300 students spanning from pre-k to twelfth grade.

Clayton-Bradley Academy, founded in 2013, is committed to providing educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to prepare students for college and career. STEM education is driven by problem solving and discovery and places an emphasis on the process and design of solutions.
