Clayton Homes Acquires Doyle Mobile Homes

Clayton Homes, announces the acquisition of Flemingsburg, Ky., manufactured home dealer, Doyle Mobile Homes.

Clayton Homes acquired Doyle Mobile Homes on Oct. 12 and the business will be converted to a Clayton Home Center moving forward. David Doyle, current owner of the family-run operation, will remain as general manager of the rebranded Doyle Mobile Homes. Three generations of Doyles have built their business into a trusted name in manufactured housing in North Central Kentucky, with David Doyle in charge of all operations since 1989.

“I’ve known David Doyle and his family my entire career,” Kevin Clayton, CEO of Clayton Homes, said. “We are so fortunate they have decided to join Clayton Homes. Their home center was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001 and their Home Center is achieving a 98 percent Customer Service Index score which has rarely ever been done. For 54 years they have served the Flemingsburg, KY market and now with joining Clayton Homes they will have even more inventory and tools to help an even larger group of people with homeownership.”

Doyle Mobile Homes was founded in 1962 by brothers and World War II veterans, Russell and Adrian Doyle. For the past 30 years, the company has been an exclusive Clayton homes distributor and was recognized as a 2001 CMH Hall of Fame dealership, making it the fourth business to be given this recognition.
